Insanity: The Asylum

Today was day 4! Whew!

Ok. I was truly scared to start this exercise program! The first day was different than what I expected. I was able to keep up quite nicely. I still need to practice better form on some of the moves, but that's fine.  Day two was really fun! I am really good at weight training and kept up with this as well. Day three was even more fun because I was able to keep up still! I thought, damn... there's no stopping me!  I kept repeating "I'm smiling because I love it!"

Then day four.... I was sore getting out of bed. It was the first time in a very long time that my entire body was sore! I walked it off and still did the morning walk around the lake with Chey, Drew and Trooper,  departing with Chey at her bus stop. When we got back to the house, I went and PUSHED PLAY - like every other morning. I know that I did not perform my best today. I tried the best that I was able to and kept up pretty well considering my soreness.  I was proud of myself that I finished but, Whew! That was a challenge.  I suppose partly because Plyo is not my best area anyway since it's very hard on my knees. Some of the moves I needed to modify. But it's about control people! Becoming an athlete is not about how fast you can move or how high you can jump.... it's about the control that you have over your body and the focus and determination that you have. I will push play tomorrow and I look forward to it!

I know that my body will recover with the help of my P90X Results and Recovery Formula.
