A few topics that I have been thinking about recently..... goal setting (thanks #girlsgonewod) and PR-ing. Ok, I listen to the girls one wod podcast and was totally inspired to really sit and think about some serious goals for this year, next year, 3-5 years 5-10 and +10 years. I categorized my goals by family, personal, financial, fitness and career. I even wrote them down in a notebook, yes actual paper and pen and I have been adding to the list as I think of more. I think about these goals pretty much every day and almost treat some of the long term items as a sort-of bucket list. In addition, I have been tracking my wod's and getting stronger and better. I love the inspiration that I get from the coaches and the friends that I have at my #crossfit box. I have set some really great goals for myself and I look forward to checking them off as time progresses. A cool app that I have been using is called wodbook. I found in the the google play store. (not sure if it's available for iphone)
Anyway, my point is to share and encourage others to do this too. I love the forward motion of this thought process and I feel like it's really helping with a sense of accomplishment. So... Ready... Go!
There's a whole lot of truth in the notion that you become more confident and positive when you exercise.
Great post Kris! You continue to inspire and motivate me with your positive attitude, compassionate soul, and your all out, bad-ass effort and demeanor at the #crossfit box! I am going to check out the app as I transition back in to strength training from running endurance and look forward to getting fitter! I'd love to see some of the items on your list that you are willing to share with the public.
