Dear Rich and Julie, An Expression Of My Gratitude...

Dear Rich (Roll) and Julie (Piatt),

It always means a lot when some one takes a moment to send a thank you card. Especially when it is for something that you did or gave to them,  just because, without any motive and without looking for something in return.  You acted because you wanted to be nice, helpful or because it made you feel good and brought you joy and happiness. Now it's my turn. I am sending you a thank you letter. I can't begin to express to you my gratitude for how you have both helped me. This is not the first time that I have reached out to you. You read my email/question on your podcast and discussed some realities around my issue at that time. You suggested making decisions and taking actions towards my goal.  You had a conversation about how it was possible to make changes and take step towards the goal without making it a complete all or nothing situation. After I listened to the discussion, I realized that I had been doing exactly that! My eyes and heart were suddenly wide open. Here goes... because then I jumped! I did it ! I took the leap of faith, with quite a bit of pre-work (to enable my family and I) to continue to survive. That was about 6 months ago and here's where I stand.  I am studying holistic nutrition at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition,  and just launched my business called TheGreenMindProject.com  which is for holistic health and lifestyle coaching. Additionally, I am coaching CrossFit at two locations and working at a near by vacation resort where my job is to take guests on hike/kayak tours!! Seriously? If you told me a year ago that this would be my life I never EVER would believe it. I have eliminated most sources of stress in my life. I started a (sort-of) regular meditation practice,  and I just want to help people find ways to fulfill their passions. I don't mean in fairy tale glorified way, to be honest, I did give up a great paying job and had to make sacrifices to do so. I just mean there are ways for anyone and everyone to become un-stuck.  Furthermore, in the event that I feel any doubt creeping in, or start to worry about the future, I just listen to your podcast and keep the faith. In such a short time so many opportunities and doors have opened that I choose to see the serendipity.  From the bottom of my heart I thank you for all that you do. I truly love this life!
With Gratitude,
Kris

Thank You Coach; for the Resiliency and Grace!!

Thank you Coach (CPJ) for the lessons on resiliency and grace.

First I want to say thank you for teaching me about resiliency. I never allowed myself to understand this, but now it has become an important place that I have been longing to find. A place where I can place my feet in the sand and not be worried about being washed away by the tide. You have taught me how to find the resiliency within. I really appreciate all the lessons that were so hard for me to absorb.  I have the ability to tune-in, listen to my body and my mind and step forward with a positive approach to anything.

Thanks for teaching me about Grace. Grace is  a representation of so many things to me. First of all Grace was the name of my nanny who liked my brother much better than she liked me. Grace was a work out that terrified me during my first RX competition. And NOW Grace is the way I choose to carry myself and represent myself to the world.  A powerful being who embodies kindness.
As I approach the first day of the rest of my life, the day I have been seeking, the life I have been building every day that I have spend learning and becoming the better version of myself, I choose to take  the first step with gratitude. I am grateful for the lessons in resiliency and grace.

Sharing is Caring

I want to share something that I consider to be quite personal.  Although it was a discussion on a podcast which is a public forum it still feels like Rich and Julie were speaking to me. So below I will share the email that I sent to them and a link to a podcast where they discussed my question. These two are very near and dear to my heart. This couple has inspired me in so many ways I just couldn't thank them enough.... Here's my email to them
"Hi Rich and Julie,

First I'd like to say how I truly appreciate your podcast! The energy and vibes you transcend to me is invaluable and I really can't thank you enough. I listen during my commute which is long and tiresome but you help me get through.
Anyway, over the past few years I have found myself changing in so many ways. My journey started in a similar fashion as many others. I quit smoking in effort to get healthier and found myself packing on the pounds. So I began an exercise routine at home. When that became boring, after a few years, it ultimately lead me to finding a local running club and I have since joined CrossFit. My eating habits have become mainly plant based and I've been listening to audio books, which is how I found you. Some books are health and fitness related and some are personal development and spiritual growth. Last year I got my CrossFit level 1 which enables me to coach CrossFit which I have recently started to do on a part time basis. I currently study nutrition and am enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition which is an online course.
My current job is something that is no longer in alignment with my belief system but it is the main source of income, medical benefits and retirement planning for myself and my family. I am miserable at this current place and no longer want to be there. I have an opportunity to do a few other things that are jobs that resonate with where I'd like to go and I realize the "if you take a leap of faith the universe will catch you" concept. I really feel that I am there but it's very scary. Any advice on how to know when it's this right time? My fear is not being able to provide for my family but I am visualizing being in a new place. Thanks for reading this!
With Love and Gratitude,

Kris "
